Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The most traditional sales of the year are about to start, as Boxing Day comes close.
Christmas sales have begun already, but it isn’t until 26 December when shops open particularly early and reduce everything in stock, to offer shoppers the last bargains of 2014.
And effectively, despite the popularity of the Black Friday deals in November, it is expected to be the biggest shopping day of the year with millions of people are set to go bargain-hunting tomorrow online and in high-streets.
According to The Telegraph, “spending in shops and online retailers in 2014 will hit £13,000 for the average household – a new record according to government data that shows each household will have spent £1,818 more than in 2010”.
Many brands have bucked the sales and started them early today already, which are expected to run until January, but it all kicks out tomorrow.
So, we round up the best fashion deals to tune in on Boxing Day, online and in-stores. On your marks, get ready, shop!
