The 2024 Awards season is officially in full swing, with this year’s Emmy Awards surrounded by the glitz and glamour of celebrities’ best looks. On 15 January, Hollywood’s favourite faces walked the red carpet outside Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater in gowns and tuxedoes that didn’t fail to turn heads.
In July 2023, we learned which shows and movies were nominated for Emmy Awards, with HBO’s beloved Succession walking away with more than 13 acting nominations. Later that year, it was announced that the awards show would be pushed back from its usual spot in September, due to the writers and actors strike.
After a four-month delay, the outfits for the occasion did not disappoint. The event also set the scene for further emerging fashion trends, as it followed an impressive Golden Globes red carpet earlier this month. Although each celebrity embraced their own unique style when walking the red carpet on 15 January, some approaches were more popular than the rest.
We learned that red won’t be going anywhere this season, as it proved to be a favourite among attendees, with Grey’s Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl, Abbott Elementary’s Janelle James, and Daisy Jones and The Six’s Camila Morrone all stunning in simple, yet elegant red gowns. Old Hollywood glamour was also on display on the red carpet, with many stars arriving in their best satin skirts, feathered dresses, and silver or gold statement necklaces.
