Lily Allen has shared a candid sneak peek into her extensive Brit awards beauty regime which involved having her nipple hairs plucked.

On Wednesday, the 33-year-old shared several videos of herself from her hotel room getting ready for an afterparty in London.

Hours earlier, the singer attended the Brit awards wearing a semi-sheer Coach dress from the pre-fall 2019 collection and a sleek black wig.

However, for the afterparty, Allen changed up her look, donning a platinum blonde hairdo.

Showing her one million Instagram followers exactly what it takes to get ready for a celebrity-filled party, the star filmed herself topless as a makeup artist applied body makeup to her breasts.

“Literally lightening my nipples right now,” Allen said to camera during the process. “Georgie is plucking hairs out of my nipples.”

“I didn't even know they were there because I haven't looked at my nipples in so long!”

The candid video followed a powerful performance by fellow Brit awards nominee Jess Glynne.

At the ceremony, Glynne took to the stage with two-time Grammy award winner H.E.R to sing her hit single “Thursday”, during which she removed her makeup.

During the performance, Glynne – who wore a strapless white dress for the standout moment – began to remove her fake eyelashes and wipe off her eye makeup while singing the lyrics “I won’t wear makeup on Thursday / ‘Cause who I am is enough”.

Behind her, several women simultaneously removed their makeup in front of dimly-lit vanity mirrors, making a marked statement about the importance of combating unrealistic beauty standards and embracing self-love.

Fans of Glynne took to Twitter to praise the artist for her flawless performance and critique of the rules of perfection society often blindly adheres to.

“I love that @JessGlynne and her backing singers are taking off all their make-up on stage,” wrote one fan.

“That was one of the most empowering performances I’ve ever seen,” added another.

One tweeted: “By far the most powerful performance I’ve ever seen.”

Earlier this week, Allen paid tribute to former Chanel creative director, Karl Largerfeld, who died on Tuesday at the age of 85.

Sharing a picture of herself with the German-born designer, Allen wrote: “You made me feel like a princess.

“I never quite understood what you saw in me but I am forever grateful for the support that you and Chanel have given me over the last 15 years. Rest In Peace Karl, you were a true genius and will be missed, so much.”

The singer was a regular face on the Chanel front row and once fronted a campaign for the brand’s Coco Cocoon bag in 2009.
