From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Savvy shoppers are crying “Eureka!” all around as the ultimate online shopping hack is revealed.

UK ASOS customers can switch their location from Britain to America, meaning they can shop in dollars and subsequently shave some money off of their desired purchases.

American labels such as Juicy Couture and Abercrombie & Fitch become significantly more affordable with this thrifty trick.

To get in on the penny-saving action, Brit shoppers have to click on the union jack on the top right hand corner of the site and click the American flag to convert every price on the online retailer’s site into dollars.

To see just how much money you’re saving, customers can then revert the price to sterling whilst remaining on the US site and subsequently making the most of the discount.

Thanks to the free shipping, ASOS shoppers don’t even need to pay extra to get their clothes brought over from across the pond.

The hack will undoubtedly send online shoppers into a black-Friday-esque frenzy, eager to take advantage of the apparent loophole that enables them to purchase items at discounted prices.

A white terry tank dress from Juicy Couture’s high end black label costs £150 on the UK site, but £104.99 after the hack is applied.

Meanwhile, shoppers can also get their hands on US label Free People at slashed prices, with one floral maxi dress dropping by £36 once viewed in the US mode.

However, despite the flurry of excitement, a lot of the brand’s pricings remain fairly consistent across the two variations of the site.

Regardless, it’s still pretty good news for thrift-seekers and keen bean Christmas shoppers.
