From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

NARS has posted a behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot for the beauty brand's Fall/Holiday 2010 campaign starring heiress Daphne Guinness. The two-minute clip was posted on NARS' YouTube channel on October 25.

The video features short interviews with NARS founder and creative director François Nars, NARS makeup artist Kabuki, and Guinness, who was the inspiration behind this season's collection.

For the campaign, Guinness wears products from NARS' Fall/Holiday 2010 line including a rich royal purple in Daphne - the shade was named after her ($23), a yellow-green eye shadow in Mangrove ($23), Douceur blush in soft pink-brown ($26) and Rouge Basque Lipstick, a red hue inspired by the French Basque region ($24).

Guinness, a socialite and longtime friend of François Nars', replaces Marcel, Nars's dog, as the new face of the cosmetics line.
