After a sold-out season at the Cottesloe, Patrick Marber's play Closer, which exposes the dark undercurrents of man's psyche, transfers to the National Theatre, Lyttelton. According to one critic, Marber "has written one of the best plays of sexual politics in the language." Marber and the cast will discuss the play tonight.

Singer Joe Jackson's latest album Heaven and Hell was inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins and can be seen as a return to his classical roots (he graduated in composition from the Royal Academy of Music). He plays at Queen Elizabeth Hall tonight.

The London International Guitar Festival is a celebration of the instrument's many diverse sounds and uses. Otomo Yoshihide, who has been described as a "turntable terrorist", will be appearing tonight. Nicolas Collins, with support from the Kenny Process Team, will perform tomorrow night. Collins experiments with electronics in live performances.

Christie's South Kensington fifth annual teddy bear sale is also a tribute to Margarete Steiff's 150th birthday this year. A number of Steiff toys are included in the sale. When Steiff created her first teddy bear in 1903, interest was limited. Four years later, more than 974,000 bears had been sold. Among the bears for auction is a rare 43in-high bear. Prices range from pounds 100-800. View the bears today, from 9am-12pm. Sale begins 2pm.
