searched... For a rare treasure at one of the most prestigious antique fairs. The Lapada Antiques & Fine Art Fair, is holding it's final weekend. Collectors can expect anything from the most expensive piece, a George III Chippendale, Breakfront bookcase at pounds 80,000 (from Cooks of Marlborough, Wiltshire), to items at pounds 30. seen... Kirsten Burke's calligraphic art work currently touring All Bar One across the country. Her paintings combine quotations on the theme of food and drink with pictorial interpretations. This weekend is the last chance to see her work in London, at All Bar One, Regent Street, W1.

Know... That Winston Churchill had another life - as a painter. More than 100 paintings by Winston Churchill are currently exhibited at Sotheby's to celebrate the 50 years since his election by the Royal Academy as an Honorary Academician Extraordinary. He painted all over the world, and his subject ranged from still lives to portraits and buildings. Until 17 January, Sotheby's, 34-35 New Bond Street, London W1. Admission Free.
