Dirty Dogs Campaign: Threats corner

LOCAL feelings run so high that a surprising number of readers who wrote to us pleaded for anonymity: 'For God's sake don't print my address or I won't be able to open my front door for canine calling cards'. . . 'I once wrote to a local newspaper on the subject and was deluged with abusive telephone calls. One gentleman threatened to wait outside my home in his car and run me over'. . .'Signed, Anonymous - because retribution is swift and nasty round here.'
