With the holidays fast approaching, some of the world’s top luxury brands have released their gift guides - complete with pricey recommendations of what to buy your loved ones.

As some of the most coveted, and expensive, designer brands, most of the recommended gifts don’t come cheap - with Gucci suggesting its new line of candles reaching the $800 (£620) price range and Burberry offering a $700 (£548) scarf this holiday season.

Fortunately, for those label-lovers on your Christmas list, there are some options in the nearly affordable range - if you don’t mind splurging on a pocket organiser.

These are the cheapest items you can buy from 2018 luxury designer gift-guides.

Burberry

The British fashion house’s gift-guide features a variety of presents for sale in its iconic plaid print - including purses and flannel shirts.

For men, the least-expensive item for purchase in this year’s gift-guide, apart from a $50 (£39) shaving cream, are a pair of $70 (£55) embroidered cotton-blend socks.

The socks do come in seven colours, however.

For women, the cheapest gift option is nail polish - which the brand sells for $23 (£18). If you were looking for something more substantial, you can purchase a leather-wrapped alphabet charm for $120 (£94) - available in 16 colours.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton’s has also shared its suggestions for presents, because the “art of gifting is about finding the right gift for every desire and occasion,” according to the brand.

Of the small leather goods, the most affordable is a Louis Vuitton monogram notebook decorated with stickers, available for $185 (£145).

Alexander McQueen

A $175 (£137) plain black skull card holder is the least expensive gift on Alexander McQueen’s 2018 gift-guide for women - with the metallic gold version costing an additional $5.

For men, socks are again the cheapest option, with various skull sock colours available for $85 (£66).

Gucci

Gucci is promoting its new line of enviable home goods this holiday season, but the least-expensive option is something meant to be lit on fire - $70 (£54) incense sticks.

For gifts for women, the luxury designer offers a quirky silk neck bow for $195 (£152) - and for men, a $145 (£113) pocket square.

Dolce & Gabbana

The Italian design duo behind Dolce & Gabbana want to make this Christmas special for millennial women with a “D&G millennial headband” available for $95 (£74).

And proving that socks are a classic, and affordable, gift option for men, Dolce & Gabbana’s least expensive men's Christmas gift is also socks - cotton jacquard ones in white, blue or black for $50 (£39).

Hermès

Because nothing says “Merry Christmas” like soap, the French luxury brand offers a $35 (£27) version for the men in your life.

Interestingly, Hermès soap for women - also the least expensive item for sale - is cheaper than the men’s version, at just $23 (£18).

Versace

According to Versace: “Tis the season for that logo look, for her, for him, for everyone.”

Unfortunately, the look comes at a price when it comes to presents from the Italian brand.

For women, a $100 (£78) Medusa snowflake bracelet charm, bracelet not included, is the least expensive option, while socks are, again, the least expensive option for men at $75 (£58).
