Chloë Sevigny has revealed the name of her newborn son after giving birth earlier this week.

On Wednesday, the actress shared the first photo of her son, Vanja Sevigny Mačković, while thanking hospital staff for their “bravery, perseverance and kindness” during her delivery.

“Welcome to the world Vanja Sevigny Mačković Born May 2nd New York City,” the American Psycho actress captioned a photo of her and boyfriend Sinisa Mackovic cuddling the baby on Instagram. “Thank you to all the staff at Mt Sinai East for your bravery, perseverance and kindness, especially the nurses for being so gentle and patient.

“Blessings to all the other families giving birth during this time. #ilovemyboys.”

Prior to giving birth to her first child, the 45-year-old opened up about what it was like finding out she was expecting a son.

“When I found out I was having a boy, I had to wrap my head around that, as I am so girly. I don't even have that many boy friends; all of my friends are girls. I just relate better to girls. I'm like, what the hell am I going to do with a boy?” told The Cut. “My mom was like, 'This is your comeuppance for not really liking men.' I was like, great. I like men when I'm sleeping with them! But of course, I am thrilled and so excited about the whole thing."

According to Sevigny, her hope is that by the time her son is coming of age “male sensitivity and vulnerability” will be embraced.

“I'm hoping for a real shift. I'm hoping for more women in power, and more women calling the shots. I just think that will change the game entirely,” she added.

Sevigny has been dating art gallery director Mackovic for more than a year.
