The Coin Street Festival gets underway tomorrow with "Windrush", which promises an explosion of colour and sounds to celebrate the impact of Caribbean culture on the UK over the past 50 years. Jamaican tenor sax jazz player Andy Hamilton headlines an impressive musical line-up which also includes ska pioneer Laurel "Sally Brown" Aitken and "The Legend of the Sound System", Duke Vin. Elsewhere, visitors can take part in creative workshops (stilt-walking and steel drumming), sample Caribbean food and drink, and brace themselves for the final event of the day - a colourful carnival procession along The Thames.
Bernie Spain Gardens and Gabriel's Wharf, South Bank, SE1 (0171-401 2255) tomorrow, 2-7pm
