The rapper took to Instagram on Thursday, September 12, to share photos of herself in the hospital shortly after giving birth. “The prettiest lil thing,” she captioned the post, alongside both flower and heart emojis. The caption had listed the baby’s birthday as September 7.
Cardi B, real name Belcalis Almanzar, and the Migos rapper also share two other children: daughter Kulture, six, and son Wave, three.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper announced her third pregnancy just over one month ago in an Instagram post, which showed her in an all-red outfit that highlighted her baby bump. “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life, and most of all renewed my power!” the caption read at the time.
“Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
Offset is also father to sons Jordan, 14, and Kody, eight, and daughter Kalea Marie, nine, from previous relationships.
Shortly before announcing her pregnancy, the rapper filed for divorce from Offset after six years of marriage. Cardi B had previously filed for divorce back in 2020, but it was called off. According to Page Six, a representative for the “I Like It” singer confirmed that she had filed for divorce again and was seeking primary custody of their children.
Despite the rumors that Offset was unfaithful, a source told the outlet that Cardi B felt the two had simply grown apart. “They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” they said. “This is something she wants to do.”
While Cardi B is reportedly seeking primary custody of their children, she did reveal on Instagram that she would not be asking Offset to pay child support. “My claim is for him to only pay for the bills he already pays on the kids and the new one,” she wrote on Instagram on August 3.
Most recently, the two were seen celebrating their son Wave’s birthday separately. Both Cardi B and Offset made separate Instagram posts to commemorate the occasion, with Offset writing in his caption: “God Greatest Gift is a child... My youngest turned three today happy bday Wave Set love you son son!”
Meanwhile, Cardi B shared various pictures of Wave over the years, including one snap of her son as a newborn as she fed him.
“Happy birthday to my son Wavey Man,” she captioned the post. “I was soo happy when I found I was having a baby then all of a sudden I got so scared when I found out I was having a boy I’m such a girly girl.
“You make it easy tho getting into that sporty mom bag. My baby love his momma soo much. I’ll always have your back, front, and sides.”
