Arts: Just naff enough

Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. It would appear that there is more to Moschino than just the nasty denim jeans worn by the regular soul boy crews that hang out at bus stops. This season, the designer emporium received a somewhat rapturous applause from the fashion cognoscenti and, after its show in Milan for spring/summer, fashion editors simply had to make up their minds as to whether or not it was naff.
It was certainly naff enough, but in the most fabulous way - fringed, sequinned and electric blue. Themes crossed over from cowgirl to flashy trashy Bianca Jagger. Sneak yourself into one of the plush fitting rooms and you could easily pretend you are on a Dallasty set. Be warned: stay well clear of the glitter tracksuit look and patent high heels if you are (a) trying to grow out bleached hair or (b) have a tendency to teeter down to Tesco in your latest designer get-up. The check-out girl just won't get it. These clothes need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Wear them to a funny night-club or casino hall in Vegas only.
The new Moschino store is now open on 28-29 Conduit Street, London W1, enquiries 0171-318 0555.
