Trump grand jury postpones decision on his arrest as deepfake images flood Twitter
Flood of deepfake images prompts NYPD to deny it has detained the former president
A grand jury investigating Donald Trump’s alleged role in a scheme to pay hush money to a porn star won’t consider the case until at least next week – further postponing a decision on his possible arrest.
The latest twist in the saga came after Stormy Daniels said her phone records are bombshell evidence in the case and are “gonna hurt” the former president.
The New York grand jury had been expected to meet on Thursday to consider evidence involving Mr Trump’s role involving a $130,000 (£106,000) payment to Ms Daniels in 2016 that prosecutors reportedly allege was an illegal campaign expenditure.
