The outcry that greeted the song that would be sung during the inauguration of Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands caused the composer John Ewbank to withdraw it from the ceremony. However, officials are reportedly going to stick with it, despite the negative reaction over such lyrics as “I build a dyke with my bare hands and keep the water away”.
