Leon Best struck with a volley in the 89th minute to salvage a 1-1 draw for Blackburn against Derby.

Best also hit the post for the visitors in the second half and Jordan Rhodes had a penalty appeal turned down.

Derby took a 1-0 into the break after a penalty, given against Alex Marrow for handball, was dispatched by debutant Johnny Russell in the 44th minute.

Blackburn had edged possession during the first 45 minutes, as well as outshooting Derby 11 to 6, but failed to register a shot on target.
