The Programme, week 6: Sarah's comments
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.I haven't felt as good as I did last week, but Matt says that's all part of the detox. The gym has become an automatic thing now and I find myself really wanting to go. I can see and feel the results, which is very encouraging. I'm going in the mornings now, which is a lot easier than lunchtimes or evenings, and also means that I'm less likely to eat badly because I don't want to undo all the work I have done.
I'm on a wheat-free diet, so I've been eating a lot of Ryvita and rice cakes, but Matt has put me on to these absolutely gorgeous protein shakes. My husband, Dom, has started doing the programme with me as well, which has made it a lot easier. I'm gutted it's going to be over in a week, to be honest. It has completely changed my lifestyle for the better, and I'm really going to miss it.
