Fragrances can capture a mood and ease you into a new season. These new scents will help smooth your way into autumn
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Reiss’s debut fragrance is the work of a world-renowned “nose”, available at a high street price point. The reassuringly weighty flaçon contains a scent that has a sophisticated heart of night-flowering jasmine and deep sequoia wood, and a base of amber and skin musks.

2. Peony and Blush Suede eau de cologne
Inspired by the grand country-house balls of the early twentieth century, fans of all things ultra-feminine will love the powerful hit of romantic peony. But the addition of crisp, fresh apple and soft, leathery suede will appeal to a tomboy alter-ego, too.

3. Silver Iris cologne absolue

£79 for 100ml, Dolce&Gabbana, boots.com
Lyn Harris has explored the dark side of the bloom with this scent. Spicy notes of cumin and coriander are carried over a base of black tobacco, musky Ambrette seed and patchouli leaves, while Turkish rose runs through its heart.
£95 for 100ml, Miller Harris, millerharris.com
