From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

First there was Sex and the City, the book, then the successful HBO television series, and the blockbuster movie. Now, Sex and the City has hit the jackpot, taking on Las Vegas with its own slot machine.

In a partnership between HBO and IGT, the game machine manufacturer, Sex and the City takes a spot in the casinos. Will the franchise do for slots what it did for shoes by Manolo Blahnik?

A multi-level progressive game that offers a chance at five jackpots and four bonus games, it shows video clip excerpts featuring fans' favorite moments from the TV show, memorable lines, and music, such as the theme song. Chris "Mr. Big" Noth's voice cheers players on and congratulates winners.

The four female stars - Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) - are in production for the sequel, Sex and the City 2 movie. The next film is scheduled for release May 2010.

The slot machine can be found at MGM Grand, Bellagio, Planet Hollywood, and other casinos. It is also available in Reno, Nevada, and will soon be installed in casinos across the US.
