From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.A woman has flawlessly upstaged a wannabe macho man in front of the whole audience at an American football game.
During a Philadelphia Soul fixture the Flex Cam targeted a man in the audience inspiring him to strike a bodybuilder pose with his arms.
However, what he wasn’t expecting was that the woman sat behind him would also have something for the audience.
In the video she takes off her denim jacket to reveal a pair of muscular arms that would impress most gym-dwellers.
The man is visibly deflated and sits back in his chair with his head in his hands.
The sight of this prompts the announcer to yell: “Man, you’ve been stoned, my brother!”
The Flex Cam is similar to the Kiss Cam seen at American sports events. The camera pans across the crowd and whoever appears on the screen is supposed to flex their muscles for the biggest audience reaction.
Needless to say, the woman’s impressive biceps were well received by the crowd.
