Monday and Tuesday's selection: the highest tower in the world opens in Dubai, New Delhi organizes its annual auto show, Google organizes an Android press conference in California and the Palm Springs Film Festival kicks off.

10th New Delhi Auto Show

More than 2,100 exhibitors from 25 countries will showcase their wares as they vie for a niche in one of the largest underdeveloped car markets in the world. A gala awards event will kick off the Palm Springs International Film Festival, presenting tributes to an illustrious group of actors and film talents, at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The 21st annual event, January 5-18, will screen 200 films from 60 countries.
