From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Some critics thought HBO was over when hit shows Sex & the City and The Sopranos ended, but the satellite network continues creating cutting-edge, critically acclaimed shows. On January 24, HBO Latin America delivers the newest seasons of three award-winning series - Entourage, Mad Men and Big Love - to 23 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The fourth successful season of Big Love, nominated for several 2010 Golden Globe Awards, including Best Dramatic Series, presents the dramatic story of a family in Salt Lake City, centered on the complicated lives of a polygamist and his three wives. Starring Bill Paxton ( Apollo 13), also nominated for Best Lead Actor, and Chloe Sevigny, up for Best Supporting Actress.

Mad Men, winner of multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Awards, returns for a third sensational season. Set in the 1960s, the show focuses on a prestigious New York advertising agency and its top exec, played by Jon Hamm (also seen in 30 Rock). Produced by the American Movie Classics (AMC) channel, HBO airs the show in Latin America.

Entourage, a 2010 Golden Globe nominee for Best Comedy, started its sixth hit season on January 10. Its young, charismatic cast stars Adrian Grenier ( The Devil Wears Prada), as a hot Hollywood actor and his buddies - Kevin Connolly ( He's Just Not That Into You) as his manager, Kevin Dillon ( The Doors) as his half-brother, and superstar agent, Jeremy Piven ( RocknRolla), who won a Golden Globe for his role.

HBO, the premium cable channel, programs feature films as its mainstay on HBO and Cinemas channels and develops its own original programming and documentaries.
