Hong Kong Arts Festival

For more than a month the international arts community gathers in Hong Kong for the 38th edition of the festival to treat its citizens (and a whole lot of visitors) to everything from classical music, through theater and on to modern dance. One of the highlights of the 2010 program will be acclaimed British actor/director Steven Berkoff's adaptation of On the Waterfront.

Taipei Game Show

A trade event showcasing Taiwanese and Chinese-language video gaming, also including the Asian finals stage of the Electronic Sports League's Intel Extreme Masters videogame tournament, with matches shown live on ESL TV.

Sapporo Snow Festival
February 5-11
Sapporo, Japan

Every February, Sapporo (Hokkaido) becomes the scene of a winter fairy tale with hundreds of massive ice carvings adorning the stretches of Odori Park, the grounds at Community Dome Tsudome, and the main street in Susukino.

Rugby Union: IRB Sevens World Series

February 5-6, Wellington, New Zealand
February 13-14, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

New Zealand, having won both previous Sevens World Series legs, host in their homeland for the fourth in an eight-stop schedule that runs through until the end of May. Despite their home advantage, New Zealand has been grouped up with defending champions South Africa as well as the Welsh team in Group A. The Polynesian island of Niue are one of four, and Canada, Papua New Guinea and Tonga also join the 12 core teams. The Series then travels to the United States for the next leg where Guyana, Canada, Chile and Japan guest.

"Green Life: Building Sustainable Cities"

February 5- March 28
Milan, Italy

This international exhibition showcases urban development projects based on sustainability and eco-friendly building techniques, scheduled to open at the Milan Triennial. It will be accompanied by preparatory events including public discussions of the topics, conferences and educational and technical seminars.
