This four-day event is dedicated to cutting-edge mobile technology. There is a full program of conferences, keynotes and panel discussions that runs alongside an exhibition of hottest new products and concept designs from the top mobile companies in the field. The Mobile World Congress Awards Ceremony pinpoints leaders and innovators at the forefront of the mobile industry. In 2009 the event attracted around 47,000 industry members from more than 180 countries.

BRIT Awards

Begun in 1977, the BRIT Awards are one of the UK's biggest music awards, honoring the best in pop music each year. Leading the 2010 nominees with three noms each are Lady Gaga, Florence & The Machine, Lily Allen, and Pixie Lott. Other nominees include British boyband JLS, Dizzee Rascal, Jay-Z, Paolo Nutini, La Roux, Empire of the Sun, and Animal Collective. Comic Peter Kay will host the BRIT Awards ceremony on February 16 at London's Earls Court.

DICE Summit
February 16-19
Las Vegas, Arizona, USA

This conference, whose title is an acronym for "Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain," actually focusses more on the business of video games and is set up primarily as a networking event for higher-ups. Activision's chief, Bobby Kotick, and Disney Interactive's president Steve Wadsworth will be keynoting.

Engage! Expo
February 16-17
New York, USA

The Engage! Expo runs alongside New York's 2010 Toy Fair. Will Wright, creator of SimCity and The Sims, will be among those keynoting the conference, and the expo is expected to host 25,000 attendees including 1,000 members of the media.
