Next week's selection offers the biggest interior design fair in Milan, the Coachella music festival in California, a landmark entertainment content market in Cannes, France while the Pulitzer Prize for fiction will be announced in New York and beauty professionals gather in Bologna, among other events.

One of the main highlights of the 2010 edition is a keynote address by Creator & Executive Producer of Heroes, Tim Kring, on April 12. Pulitzer Prize for Fiction announced

The Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, one of the most prestigious literary prizes in the US, has been awarded since 1918 (then called the Pulitzer Prize for the Novel). The prize honors distinguished fiction by an American author. To be eligible, a work must be entered with a $50 entry fee. Recent winners include The Road by Cormac McCarthy (2007), The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz (2008), and Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout (2009).

Hong Kong Electronics Fair: spring edition

Heralded as Asia's biggest electronics event, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (HKTDC) showcases products and services from all over the world from audio-visual products, navigation systems, to telecommunications products and testing, as well as inspection & certification services.
The fair attracted over 2,100 exhibitors in 2009 and is only open to professionals.

The event, which is considered the international benchmark of interior design, will again host the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Eurocucina (the International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition), and SaloneSatellite for upcoming designers. SaloneUfficio, the International Biennial Workspace Exhibition, will not be included this year but is set to return in 2011. New York and Moscow will also host Saloni spinoffs later in the year.

Coachella Festival

More than 100,000 music fans head to the Southern California desert for the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. In the decade since Coachella launched, the multi-stage event has grown in size and acclaim and is now considered the opener of the summer festival season. The 2010 Festival will feature Jay-Z, Muse, and Gorillaz, as well as Pavement, Vampire Weekend, Them Crooked Vultures, LCD Soundsystem, and Thom Yorke.
