From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The current ATP world No.4 Andy Murray has signed up with sportswear manufacturing giant Adidas after concluding his long-term apparel partnership with Fred Perry.

As a result, Andy will be using a pair of custom tennis shoes from the best-selling Barricade line when he competes at the 22nd Hopman Cup, an Australian mixed singles and doubles tournament that takes place January 2-9.

Thanks to the 5-year endorsement deal he'll also be kitted out in shorts and shirts from the Competition line, again in a signature Andy Murray style.

Tickets for the Hopman Cup are available from AUD $17 ($16 / €11) for under 16s on normal match days, up to AUD $105 ($95 / €65)for a premium adult ticket on the final day, Saturday January 9. Family tickets and all-inclusive competition passes are also available on request.
