Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Eat more healthily. Start your own business. Practice mindfulness daily. Get ahead at work. For most us, New Year's resolutions are made to be broken. The good intentions go out the window as January's gripping chill sets in, forcing us to prioritise the sofa over self-improvement.
Thankfully there's help to be found at next week's The Best You Expo, Europe's largest personal and professional development event. Its mission is to help you achieve goals and make lasting positive change, whether that means overcoming a fear, leaving a broken relationship, or taking up yoga.
The Best You Expo, taking place on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 February at London’s Olympia, features some of the biggest names from the world of wellbeing and self-development who will be offering workshops, interactive speeches and one-to-one coaching. There will also be a range of exhibitors covering everything from health hacks, start-up advice, new-age philosophies, mindfulness, and many more topics to really shake up your life.
If you’re reading this at a job that fails to excite you, or you know there are areas of your life that could use a boost, The Best You Expo could prove the turning point that shapes your destiny. Now in its third year, the Expo has been known to change the life of many attendees.
Bernardo Moya, author and CEO of The Best You, explains that he has seen it inspire thousands of people. ‘It’s all about learning, making connections and bringing together the best from the personal development and self-help industries,' he says. 'The transformational experts and inspirational activities help attendees to break limiting beliefs, such as phobia cures for snakes and spiders, or learn practical tools to get over confidence issues'.
Speakers include personal development icon Paul McKenna, Jason Vale (aka The Juice Master), transformation leader Marie Diamond, international trading educator Sandy Jadeja (who predicted the financial crash), the UK's leading 'divorce coach' Sara Davison, and Suzy Reading (pictured above), author of this year's hugely successful book The Self Care Revolution.
Moya adds: 'The Best You Expo is a must for anyone who’s passionate about living a better life, realising their potential and creating a better world. If you’re looking to be inspired, energised and surrounded by expertise, it's the place for you.
Self-help is a thing of the past; 2018 is all about self-empowering to create the life you want. The Best You Expo might just give you tools to create your happiest 2018 - and beyond.
