Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Activision has confirmed that Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will ship earlier than was previously though citing that developer High Moon Studios has listened to the emails, tweets, user comments and Facebook posts from fans ‘clamouring’ for the game to hit stores.
Clamouring or not, expect to be playing through the battles that culminated in the Transformers’ legendary exodus from their home planet of Cybertron as players will embark on a journey through war-torn environments designed around each character’s unique abilities and alternate forms.
Interestingly both Grimlock – leader of the Dinobots and snarling T-Rex in his quieter moments – is on hand to liven up proceedings, as are the Combaticons who fans will recognise as being able to form together to form the colossal Bruticus – I never did manage to collect them all as kid.
The game will also allow fans go head-to-head in Autobot vs. Decepticon fisticuffs and apparently allow for the most ‘in-depth, advanced customization ever before seen in a Transformers video game’.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron launches on 24th August for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
