So, is the latest X-Men game a mutant mess or marvellous movie mashup? While Wolverine has its flaws, it also has its claws, and these adamantine extensions are what helps lift the game above the average half-hearted Hollywood tie-in. Combat is the big draw here and, apart froma bit of light exploring and a sprinkling of puzzlesolving, combat is what you get in huge doses. Wolverine spends the majority of his time flashing his fingertips in a dizzying array of cool moves. But be warned, there’s no multiplayer and the extras are few and far between, namely some hidden costumes and some difficult unlockable content that adds a bit more running time to an otherwise fairly brisk action adventure.
