Not to be outdone in the battle of the music-video games by the release last year of Guitar Hero: on Tour for the DS, EA has now brought out its own portable version of their Rock Band series. In many ways, it is the same game you know and love shrunk down: there are the scrolling notes, customisable band, and career mode where you travel theworld, unlocking new songs as you go. The key difference is that instead of picking one instrument, you play them all in each song. It provides frantic action, switching between them to keep each band member playing, and coupled with a great song-list, makes it an addictive experience that adds a new dimension to the Rock Band series.
