While Spider-Man’s gravity-defying, skyline-hopping ways have become rather old hat, mere mortals free-running across cityscapes have yet to make a big videogame impact. Until now, that is.

Mirror’s Edge is a high adrenaline FPS-cum-parkour venture that boasts a slinky heroine who must negotiate the urban airspace without falling to her death and being taken out by her foes, and do all this against the clock. Sounds exhausting? Yep, but this dizzying new title is a breath of fresh air and is surprisingly simple to pick up and play.
