As if further proof was needed that a game doesn’t require fast-paced action or hi-tech graphics, A Boy and His Blob shows that simpler fare can be as satisfying as big blockbusters. This platform/puzzle game sees you, the boy, using his alien companion, the blob, to traverse the 2D levels. It’s done by feeding the blob, making it transform into objects such as ladders or parachutes, producing thoughtful gameplay that, together with the hand-drawn graphics, results in a charming title.
