So goes the press announcement from an 'unidentified' spokesperson as EA and PopCap confirmed that for Plants Vs. Zombies 2 is in production and slated for a Spring 2013 release. The sequel will apparently include a ‘bevy of new features, settings, and situations.’ Though as of yet any specifics have yet to be unveiled.
Plants Vs. Zombies 2 represents the first fully-fledged title that PopCap have announced since its acquisition by EA in July 2011. No platform details for Plants Vs. Zombies 2 have been announced so far, but with the original making its way iOS formats first before expanding out to a variety of other platforms including Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and PC it seems safe to assume that the sequel will follow a similar pattern.
