From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The latest CGI trailer for Arkane Studios’ Dishonored has arrived, serving as introduction to both plot and setting in a game already garnering attention for its distinctive visuals, flexible combat system – which allows you to combine numerous supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets – and choice-based mission structure which accommodates both those who like to move under a cloak of shadows, and those who prefer more upfront and brutal encounters.

Dishonored casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. As the once-trusted bodyguard of the Empress of a steampunk-inspired world, you find yourself framed for her murder and at the whim of a tangled conspiracy.

Known only by the disturbing mask that soon becomes your calling card, you set out to uncover the truth across a city besieged by plague and ruled by an oppressive government armed with strange technologies.

We’re hoping to take a closer look at Dishonored soon ahead of its release later this year for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, in the meantime check out the trailer.
