Your support makes all the difference.The trailer for Battlefield 1, EA's upcoming First World War shooter, has become one of the most-liked gaming videos on YouTube in just four days.
At the time of writing, the short reveal trailer for the game has been viewed almost 22.5 million times since it was uploaded on 6 May.
It's also racked up 1.16 million likes, making it the best-received game trailer ever uploaded to YouTube, and one of the most popular gaming videos of all time. Currently, it's only being beaten by a few PewDiePie videos, but don't be surprised if that changes soon.
One of the reasons for its huge popularity is simple - it's amazing. The trailer is fast, brutal and exciting, and manages to pack in a lot of tantalising details - think zeppelins, flamethrowers and plenty of trench warfare.
There's also very few WW1-based games out there, so it's refreshing to see such a big developer actually coming up with a new idea.
The second reason is down to Call of Duty, Battlefield's main rival. The reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was released last week, and finally confirmed that the upcoming game would be taking place in the far future, with lots of space-based combat.
Fans of the series are growing tired of futuristic warfare, and it shows in the trailer's YouTube stats. Although it's racked up almost 16 million views in just over a week, it's also been disliked 1.5 million times, making it the fifth-most-disliked video on YouTube at the time of writing.
Battlefield 1 undoubtedly has the better trailer, but the huge disparity between the videos' receptions is partly down to an ongoing campaign by fans of both series to get Battlefield to the top and push Call of Duty to the bottom.
The figures on both videos are changing at a rapid rate, and they don't look set to slow down any time soon. Battlefield 1 is coming out on 21 October, and Call of Duty releases on 4 November, so this bandwagon is likely to roll on for a few more months.
