Google Pixel 8 Pro: Was £999, now £616.55, Amazon.co.uk
Discounted by an enormous 38 per cent, Google’s flagship Pixel 8 Pro is one of the best smartphones we’ve ever tested. “This year’s Pixel phones go hard on fancy generative AI features, but underpinning all of Google’s software cleverness is an excellent device boasting a significant hardware upgrade over last year’s model,” our writer said in their review. “With a telephoto lens and extra RAM, as well as a Tensor G3 processor, AI-fuelled photo editing features and a glorious 120Hz display, it’s the Android device to beat.”
Samsung Galaxy S23: Was £749, now £574.46, Amazon.co.uk
Save £200 on Samsung’s flagship smartphone from last year with this stellar Prime Day deal. While not as powerful as the S23 Ultra, it’s still a very capable smartphone. “On the outside, the biggest changes have been made to the design of the camera arrays on the back of the S23,” our writer said in their review. “The smaller phone drops the corner bump in favour of three-ringed lenses, giving the rear of the phone a less cluttered appearance and bringing it in line with the design of the Ultra.”
Amazon Fire 7: Was £64.99, now £44.99, Amazon.co.uk
Of course Amazon’s own tablet, the Amazon Fire 7, is included in the Prime Day sale, and with a tempting 30 per cent off. Upon trying it, our tester suggested this may be the tablet to rival the iPad in terms of battery life, saying: “It’s still hard to find a cheaper tablet from a decent brand.” They appreciated the lightweight and effortless portability of the Fire 7, too, adding that it’s a great pick for bookworms. “It works especially well for books and audio books,” they said, all of which are automatically downloaded onto your tablet upon setup.
Garmin Forerunner 55: Was £159.99, now £109.99, Amazon.co.uk

This speaker got a rave five-star review from our tester in our roundup of the best bluetooth speakers, and now it’s almost 50 per cent off thanks to Amazon Prime Day. More commonly known for their cameras, it turns out Polaroid makes some truly stellar speakers too. Apple iPhone 14 Plus, 128 GB: Was £799, now £569, Amazon.co.uk

This is a huge 30 per cent discount off the original price.
Amazon Echo Dot 4th generation: Was £109.99, now £49.99, Amazon.co.uk
Predictably some of the biggest deals to be had on Prime Day are on some of Amazon’s own best-selling devices, including the Amazon Echo dot 4th generation. Look no further than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, which currently has over £300 off and comes with an S Pen stylus. “Designed around productivity and entertainment, the Galaxy Tab S9 is powerful enough to support multi-tasking and windowed apps, can be used with the newly upgraded S Pen stylus, and can be attached to an optional keyboard cover case to effectively turn the tablet into a laptop,” our writer said in their review.
