From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Whether you never miss an episode of This Morning or not, it’s fair to say that Holly Willoughby’s daily looks attract as much attention as the show itself.

Proving her sartorial flair time after time, the presenter never misses the mark when it comes to style and has recently stepped out in everything from a chic dress by French fashion label Rouje (£180, Rouje.com) to a floral shirt (£49, Whistles.com) and nude heels (£69, Office.co.uk) from the high street.

But, today’s episode of the show required Holly to channel a rather different look than we’re used to. Airing live from the This Morning forest – no really, the show’s bosses bought a plot of land so that ITV could help do their bit to boost biodiversity – the presenter gave viewers a lesson in how to make hiking look high fashion.

Alongside a classic wax Barbour jacket (£209, Barbour.com), Levis jeans, this wax drifter hat (£34.99, Farlows.co.uk) and a Michaela Buerger cardigan, Holly accessorised her outdoorsy ensemble with a pair of Grenson’s popular Nanette G-two boots (£325, Grenson.com).

The brand’s signature hiking boot features crossover lacing and a chunky sole, but the particular style Holly opted for is made with a polished dark brown Colorado leather, a panel of matching Italian chocolate suede and tonal laces.

Schuh black Adriana chunky hiker boots: £45, Next.co.uk

(Schuh)

We think these boots would work equally as well with straight-leg jeans as they would with a pair of cropped tailored trousers. With a chunky 5.5cm heel, they’re great for anyone looking for a bit of extra height and feature trademark hiking-boot details like a lace-up closure and layered panels.

While they’re the most expensive dupes on this list, they are made from leather, so they should last you through winter and beyond.

Does Holly Willoughby wear her own clothes on This Morning?

Holly Willoughby has a stylist for This Morning who works with her to compile her wardrobe, rather than wearing her own clothes.

Speaking to Red in 2020, she revealed that putting together an outfit “hasn’t always come naturally” – “for a long time, I was pretty clueless,” she admitted – and while her Instagram feed when she’s not working says otherwise, featuring an array of equally stylish ensembles in our books, this is likely why she looks to the expertise on the professionals on screen.

Who is Holly Willoughby’s stylist?

Danielle Whiteman became Holly Willoughby’s regular This Morning stylist towards the end of 2020, replacing Angie Smith – Danielle is a previous assistant of Angie’s, who is now based in Sydney and expecting her first child.

Angie is often credited with having engineered Holly’s transformation to national fashion icon in recent years: “Holly was open to new ideas,” she explained during an interview with You magazine. “The main thing I wanted to do was get her into more colour – so we tried everything on and went from there. I remember her saying, “I’ve had my kids. I just need to change it up.”

How does Holly Willoughby do her hair?

Holly Willoughby’s hair stylist is Ciler Peksah, who works with her for This Morning and Dancing on Ice, and seems to have well and truly mastered the ultimate wavy blonde bob. Previous products Ciler has said she’s used on the presenter’s hair for that signature swish include Batiste dry shampoo, T3 curling tongs and Aveda’s damage remedy daily hair repair (£26, Lookfantastic).

Holly is also a Garnier Nutrisse ambassador, and during lockdown shared a clip of herself dying her own hair using the ”natural baby blonde” shade from the range, if you want to achieve the same shade.

Where is Holly Willoughby from?

Holly Willoughby is originally from Brighton, East Sussex, and attended Burgess Hill Girls school. She now lives in south west London with her husband Dan Baldwin and their three children, Belle, Harry and Chester.
