Since the Stockholm label Totême dropped its scarf coat in 2021, the winter style has risen to cult status. Characterised by its wool outer, matching fringed scarf, relaxed fit and ivory contrast stitching, the design became a street-style star.
But with its £810 price tag, it remains a styling piece for the one per cent. Luckily, the Totême jacket inspired replicas across the high street – and it’s not hard to see the appeal, with the coat and scarf hybrid combining warmth and effortless style.
We can always rely on M&S for pitch-perfect affordable takes (see its sell-out Ganni-inspired ballet flats and Khaite-esque studded belt). Now, it’s dropped a coat that gives Totême’s iconic style a run for its money.
While we’ve not put either to the test, so can’t vouch for the quality, judging by looks alone the high street coat is certainly in keeping with the designer’s look.
