From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Following in the wake of her Kardashian sisters, including Khloe Kardashian’s Good American and Kim Kardashian’s Skims, Kylie Jenner is now launching her own fashion label: Khy.

Announcing the clothing venture on Instagram, the 26-year-old beauty mogul and influencer captioned her post “Meet Khy” and posed in a leather trench coat, which is complete with Eighties-style shoulders and a cinched-in waist. The eponymous brand – a play on Jenner’s nickname – will debut on 1 November with a 12-piece capsule collection favouring black leather styles.

It has been founded with the help of Emma and Jens Grede (both of whom have worked with Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian on their brands) and the inaugural line is in collaboration with Berlin label Namilia. According to the reality star’s interview with The Wall Street Journal, the label is set to house various guest designers and concepts throughout the year.

The latest in a long line of celebrity-founded brands (some good, some bad), the youngest in the Kardashian-Jenner brood is attempting to stand out from the crowd by angling her 12-piece range as affordable. Of course, this is relative and has received some backlash, but with the label starting from $48 (£40) and ranging up to $198 (£164) for that leather trench coat, it’s certainly more accessible than some A-lister labels (read: The Row and Victoria Beckham).

This isn’t Jenner’s first foray into fashion. The influencer launched Kylie Swim in September 2021, which soon fizzled out in mid-2022 after it was met with criticism for its poor quality. As for Khy, the jury’s still out and we haven’t tested it yet, but the brand has faced some criticism over its lack of originality (the trench is very reminiscent of Yves Saint Laurent’s classic design). Of course, as soon as we can get our hands on the collection, we’ll give you our full review. In the meantime though, keep reading for everything there is to know right now.

When does Kylie Jenner’s clothing brand Khy launch?

Kylie Jenner’s fashion brand launches on Wednesday 1 November and the Khy website is already live with an option to sign up with your email for “exclusive early access”.

What pieces will be in Khy’s range?

The 12-strong debut collection is crafted from faux leather, featuring everything from trousers and tops to base layers and gloves. The hero piece is the leather trench seen in more detail on both the brand’s Instagram and Kylie Jenner’s own account. Beyond that, we don’t have much more information at this stage, but of course, we’ll keep you updated.

Characterised by an ankle-grazing long length, cinching tie belt, inflated silhouette and funnel neck, it’s a statement style for your winter wardrobe. All the clothing pieces are available in sizes XXS to 4XL.

How much will the Khy range cost?

The range will reportedly cost between $48 (£40) and $198 (£164), and Khy is self-branded as having “accessible price points”.
