With trips to the salon off the cards for nearly a year, our hair has borne the brunt of lockdown.

Split ends, overgrown highlights and a bit too much dry-shampooing has left our locks looking lacklustre.

Thankfully, in a bid to revive our hair to its pre-lockdown condition, there’s an army of products at our disposal – from oils to split-end treatments, root touch-up kits and volumising mousses.

An exciting new launch for locks is the Sol de Janeiro triple Brazilian butter hair repair, a £35 mask that promises to fight frizz, smooth texture, minimise tangles and protect hair from breakage, leaving you with salon-worthy results.

When we heard the brand was adding to its existing haircare range, which before consisted of a shampoo and conditioner, we were keen to put the product through its paces.

Here at IndyBest, we’re already fans of its famous bum bum cream that took the top spot in our guide to best body moisturisers, along with its hand cream and facial SPF stick that have all earned rave reviews from our testers.

With that in mind, we tried out the new hair mask, evaluating it on ease of application, scent, texture and any noticeable improvements we saw after using it.

If there’s anything that can keep our hair in tip-top condition and extend our visits to the salon even after they open back up, we’re keen to try it out. But did this treatment live up to the brand’s promises?
