Amazon Prime Day 2020 is in full swing, with impressive deals to be had across home appliances, laptops, TVs, gaming and Amazon devices.

Although the mammoth shopping event usually goes ahead in July each year, the pandemic forced the online retailer to postpone the sale, but it’s finally here, running from 13 to 14 October.

Last year’s Prime Day event proved to be Amazon’s biggest sale yet, selling 175 million products and surpassing the previous Black Friday and Cyber Monday events combined.

The bar was certainly set in 2019, but this year’s Prime Day deals are just as impressive, with slashed prices on Nintendo Switch consoles, Apple AirPods and Fitbit watches, just to name a few.

Given it’s been such a stressful year, we’ve all been looking for ways to get a better night’s sleep. If you’ve had your eye on a new mattress for a while but have yet to take the plunge, we’ve got good news, as Emma’s original mattress is on sale this Prime Day.

Sleep easy with this impressive discount and read our review of the hugely popular mattress below.

Emma original mattress, kingsize: Was £579, now £387.93 – buy now

This offering from the popular bed in a box brand, Emma, was crowned the best buy in our review of the best mattresses. Despite the name, this is the second version of the three-layer foam mattress, and our reviewer noted that it “uses a different kind of foam to the likes of Eve, Simba and Casper that the manufacturer claims is longer-lasting."

Praising it for being way ahead of the competition, our tester “found it more instantly comfortable than other bed-in-a-box mattresses we tried. It has significantly more bounce and is easier to turn over on – with no chance of disturbing your partner when you do.”

Other mattresses tend to be specifically suited to different sleepers, but our reviewer stressed that “there isn’t a body shape or type of sleeper that it wouldn’t suit, making it a great all-rounder.” It also doesn’t need turning and has a washable cover.

With our tester claiming this “is as good as it gets”, this mattress is a real no-brainer, especially with a 33 per cent discount.
