Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

To celebrate the Easter weekend, we have laid a treasure hunt in this week's Independent on Sunday that could see you win a box of delicious Prestat truffles.

To take part, all you have to do is pick up a copy of the IoS and find the six Easter eggs scattered across the paper.

Each egg will be the same, and could be hidden anywhere in the main book or sports section. Once you have found them all, simply write the page numbers on which they appear in ascending order, and email your answer to Sundayletters@independent.co.uk by midday on Thursday, 4th April 2013.

Please put ‘Treasure Hunt’ in the subject heading, and supply your full name, postal address and a daytime telephone number. Once the deadline has passed, we will randomly select three emails, and each correct entrant will receive a 200g box of finest Prestat Union Jack truffles, kindly supplied by Prestat. Good luck!

Terms and conditions

1. The first three emails opened containing the correct answers will win the chocolates.
2. No discussion will be entered into.
