Nicola is a freelance travel writer who has contributed to The Independent since 2017. Originally from Sussex, Nicola has lived in Ireland for over 15 years, and though she often writes about the Emerald isle, she has also covered global destinations such as her adventures trekking in Northern Peru, visiting beer spas in Iceland and travelling the California coast by train. Nicola also writes for the Irish Independent, The Times, Telegraph and Time Out, and is an author for DK Eyewitness. In 2021 she released two books: Dublin Like A Local, and a cookbook called And For Mains, which won the best chefs and restaurants category at the international IACP Cookbook Awards.
