Katherine Sleeman

Katherine Sleeman is a doctor and academic in palliative medicine at King's College London's Cicely Saunders Institute. Her path to palliative medicine was a meandering one, along which she picked up a PhD in mouse mammary gland stem cell biology from the Institute of Cancer Research. Since 2010 she has held an NIHR clinical lectureship, and her research uses routinely collected data to investigate where people die and the patterns of care they receive before death. Katherine lives in London with her husband and two young sons.
