From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. AMC has released a brand new look at the 10th season's final six episodes, which will be broadcast from February 2020.
The clip introduces a new character played by Terminator 2 actor Robert Patrick and provides the first glimpse at Lucille, the wife of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
Lucille will appear in a flashback episode and is being played Morgan's real-life wife Hilarie Burton.
However, it's another character that is making waves – the eight year old version of Hershel Jr.
Hershel Jr is the son of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Glenn, the character played by Steven Yeun that was killed off in the season six finale.
"How am I supposed to sleep when we see Hershel Jr and Maggie Rhee?" one fan wrote.
"Seeing that split second of Hershel Jr has fulfilled my day," another added.
One person declared that Hershel Jr was "already [their] favourite" character.
The Walking Dead's extended 10th seasons will return in the US on 8 February.
It will be available to watch in the UK on FOX and NOW TV from 1 March.
