VCR COMPETITION AND TICKET OFFER: THE KODO DRUMMERS
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. This week marks the final chance to see the acclaimed Japanese Kodo drummers at London's Sadler's Wells theatre, in association with AIWA UK. With traditional taiko drums - some up to 1,000 lb - the drummers will be generating an ear-shattering wall of sound. To celebrate AIWA's 20th anniversary in the UK, the company is offering one Independent reader an HU-FX77 video recorder. To enter the competition give the correct answer to the following question: The Kodo Drummers hail from which Japanese Island? Send your answer together with your name, address and telephone number on a postcard to: Independent/AIWA competition, Marketing Dept, Sadler's Wells Theatre, Rosebery Avenue, London EC1, to arrive no later than Friday 15 March.
In addition the first 10 readers who call the box-office on 0171-713 6000 will be offered a pair of tickets to see the Kodo Drummers tonight at 7.30pm.
