Your support makes all the difference.With eight nominations, the famed vampire film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is leading the way at the 37th annual People's Choice Awards, it was announced November 9. The ceremony, to be televised January 5, 2011, presents awards for favorite films, US television shows, actors, web celebs, and musicians.
The awards was created as a way for fans to express their opinions during the awards season. Top nominees include Twilight's Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in the Favorite Movie Actor and Actress categories - all three unlikely to get noticed at the Academy Awards.
Films selected for the 2011 People's Choice that might get Golden Globe or Oscar attention include blockbusters Inception, Alice in Wonderland and Toy Story 3.
For music nominations, Katy Perry leads with five nominations. Other top acts include Lady Gaga, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and more in several categories including Best Music Video.
Queen Latifah will host the event in downtown Los Angeles, California.
