It’s week six on Strictly and with 11 couple still in the contest, there’s still everything to play for.

Since it’s Halloween weekend, this Saturday the dancers will be strutting their stuff to some spooky numbers.

From doing the Foxtrot to The Addams Family theme tune to tangoing to ‘Defying Gravity’ from the musical Wicked, there is a mixture of songs to send shivers down the spine (or just make viewers last laugh).

EastEnders star Jake Wood is already emerging the male favourite to win the competition and his dance partner Janette Manrara has been helping to perfect his moves.

Meanwhile, could television presenter Caroline Flack claim the Strictly crown or will pop star Pixie Lott beat her to it?

Sunetra and Brendan

Performing: The Jive to ‘Tainted Love’ by Gloria Jones

Brendan plays a ghost and they pair dance around a bed. It’s all very theatrical with some nice acrobatics.

Judge Len thought the started off well but they lost their way and became a little be “careful”. Bruno felt the kicks and flicks could be sharper. But Craig said that it lacked punch and could have been cleaner. But overall the pair for taking on such an energetic dance.

The scores

Craig – 6

Bruno – 7

Len – 7

Darcey - 7

Alison and Aljaz

Performing: The American Smooth to ‘Wuthering Heights’ by Kate Bush.

Alison plays Kathy - the one who went "a bit bonkers", while partner Aljaz takes on the role of hero Heathcliffe.

Bruno says it's a match made in heaven in typical flamboyant fashion, while Craig thought it was one of the campest performances, darling.

Darcey enjoyed the theatricality but warned them not to get too carried away and not too get too "wafty". Yet Len thinks it was terrific and he couldn't get enough of the "wafting".

Simon and Kristina

Performing: The Paso Doble to ‘Poison’ by Alice Cooper

Arachnophobe Simon Webb dance a rock number with his partner dressed as a giant spider. They exude all the passion of the dance demands.

Craig thought it was strong and ferocious but the moves need more shaping - overall, really well done.

Darcey thinks Simon came alive and should inject poison into more of his performances - whatever that means. Len does not think they should have been in the bottom two. Shaping was an issue for all of the judges but they all seemed to enjoy it.

Steve and Ola

Performing: The Charleston to ‘Dem Bones Dem Bones’ by Kay Starr

Apparently, skeletons are one of Steve's passion - who knew you could be passionate about bones? The pair have dressed as skeletons for the fun performance that plays on a Night at the Museum theme.

Darcey was worried that they couldn't pull off the lifts but the couple did, with the overriding message of not holding back.

Len thinks it was quirky but it kept going wrong in place.

Bruno says that the performances was a bit restrained but they do not take away from the charm of the pair. Craig thinks they only got one section right, the rest was a mess, including the lifts. Ouch.

Pixie and Trent

Performing: The Tango to ‘Danger! High Voltage’ by Electric Six

A wonderfully energetic performance and Len loved the verve and energy but the Pixie's right arm kept doing weird things. Bruno thought there was an electrifying chemistry between the pair. Pixie had a hair-raising barnet but it all worked.

Craig thinks they will top the leader board this, it was strong, poweful and Pixie is being pushed to her limit. For Darcey thought it was very expressive and times got a little messy but only the whole "exciting to watch".

Bruno – 9

Judy and Anton

Performing: The American Smooth to ‘Cruella De Vil’ from the film 101 Dalmatians

Judy is taking the lead this week in a reversal of roles. It's safe to say Judy was very elegant in her performance as she took on the Disney villain. There were some animals thrown into the mix.

Bruno thinks that Judy is mixing American Smooth with American stiff and nothing is expected of them.

The dogs at the beginning had more grace and style than then, according to Craig.

Darcey felt that Judy was concentrating so hard and had a "fixed stare" during her perfomance, on the flipside, she has made a major improvement. Meanwhile, Len thought Judge captured the character and that they did a good job.

Jake and Janette

Performing: The Paso Doble to ‘Black Betty’ by Ram Jam.

There was a Sleepy Hollow theme to their performance and Jake found it hard to learn the steps for the first time.

Craig was disappointed and want more cape action and said it was "not his best one. Darcey, too, agreed with Craig and didn't think they got it right.

Len, again the voice of reason, disagreed with them. He thought that Darcey and Craig were right to an extent but they needed more shape to the moves.

Bruno thought Jake was the "dark lord of Albert Square" but thought the dancing was internalised.

Caroline and Pasha

Performing: The Samba to ‘Le Freak’ by Chic

It was a funky and fun-filled performance that saw the pair get into their groove.

A clean disco number that was perfect that lost some of the fun vibe. Len didn't think it was their best but not their worst.

For Bruno, it was a satanic samba with a touch of disco inferno - he basically couldn't get enough. Craig found it a bit frenetic and too clean and clinical but loved it nonetheless.

Scott and Joanne

Performing: The Foxtrot to The Addams Family Theme

Scott gives an entertaining performance even if the dancing isn't great. The DJ really gets into the character of Uncle Fester.

Len didn't think it was super or natural but Joanne was the real star. While Bruno thinks if the show was called strictly no dancing then Scott would be a frontrunner.

Craig didn't have anything nice to say, so he said nothing much. Darcey did enjoy the acting even if the dancing wasn't there. The comments weren't positive but could the pair survive thanks to Scott's pantomime?

Mark and Karen

Performing: The Jive to ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ from the musical of the same name

There's some fancy footwork from the couple who seemed like they were naturals on the dancefloor.

Bruno thought their timing was spot-on and was their best dance yet. Craig too gave them a bravo.

The plaudits didn't stop, Darcey has high hopes for them and could not praise them enough. For Len, it was "sweet shop full of tasty treats". The pair were rewarded for such a sterling performance with the second highest scores.

Frankie and Kevin

Performing: The Tango to ‘Defying Gravity’ from the musical Wicked

She was graceful even if she was looking a bit green. Yet there was something magical about the routine.

Craig thought Frankie was a fabulous witch, while the dance gave Darcey chills. It was praise all around, Len loved it and Bruno thought they captured the spirit of the number and the show.

The scores

Craig – 9

Darcey – 9

Len – 9

Bruno – 10
