Fleur East has confirmed she will perform “Uptown Funk” again on the X Factor final this weekend.
The 26-year-old singer said her second rendition of the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars song would be “bigger and better”.
Fleur East topped the iTunes download chart with her cover of the song this weekend, forcing Mark Ronson to rush release his song.
Ronson was due to release the song from his forthcoming album Uptown Special in January, but his label decided to move the date forward.
Fleur East’s version of the song was out-selling the likes of Taylor Swift and Take That on the iTunes real-time download chart, but has since been overtaken by Ronson’s own version.
Simon Cowell said the singer’s performance of the song on Saturday was one of the top three in the show’s 10-year history.
The YouTube video of Fleur East performing “Uptown Funk” has had more than 1.7 million views in less than a week.
The singer from Walthamstow is the bookies’ favourite to win this year’s competition.
She will compete against Ben Haenow and Andrea Faustini in the final this weekend.
