Reportedly expressing to her sisters and bandmates that she could no longer breathe, the contestant soon lost consciousness. An audience member informed The Mirror that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, who had been comforting the girls on their loss, immediately cried out for help and Celina was swiftly carried backstage.
This is the second time she has passed out on stage, having fainted earlier this month during the show's filming. She was immediately taken to hospital for a check-up before returning to perform with her band in the studio; though she started to feel faint once more when the group had finished, with Olly Murs rushing to grab Celina a chair so she could rest before being helped off stage.
The band later tweeted to let fans know that Celina was OK and recovering.
An X Factor spokesperson stated: "Celina was taken unwell after the show came off air. An ambulance was called and she was seen by medics at the studio. She has since gone home to rest with her mothers and her sisters."
The Filipino girl-band received the lowest number of votes after the sing-off, losing out to Lauren Murray.
